Burgess National Rabbit Week 2009

Saturday 24th January 2009 until Friday 30th January 2009

In 2009, Burgess National Rabbit Week will focus on fibre. Did you know that rabbits are ‘fibrevores’? Fibre is an essential part of a rabbit's diet, and plays a vital role in maintaining their good health and wellbeing. Rabbits require extremely high levels of fibre in order to keep their digestive system running smoothly, their teeth in good working order, and to enhance their emotional health.

If you are a rabbit-owner, or are thinking about getting a rabbit, you'll find this website packed full of useful information. You can learn more about why rabbits are ‘fibrevores’ and how fibre helps to keep them healthy, and you can check out what events are happening in your area during Burgess National Rabbit Week. There is also the chance to upload pictures of your pet rabbits in our gallery, and, if you are aged between four and 16, you can enter our exclusive competition to win a day behind the scenes at Flamingo Land Zoo.
