The Great Big Rabbit Survey

Calling all rabbit owners........The RSPCA has launched a UK wide survey to find out more about the UK's pet rabbits. The survey website will enable rabbit owners to get lots of hints and tips about caring for their bunnies, share stories with other rabbit owners, and join the campaign for better rabbit welfare.

Burgess Pet Care Wins Supplier of the Year 2010 at the Pet Care Trust Awards

Burgess Pet Care are proud to have been crowned 'Supplier of the Year' at the prestigious Pet Care Trust Industry Awards 2010.
The Pet Care Trust is a national pet care education charity that promotes responsible pet ownership. It is the charitable arm of The Pet Care Trade Association which provides a quality assurance of businesses in the pet care sector: all members agree to adhere to their charters, representing best practice for the different sectors of the pet trade on joining the Association.
The Annual Pet Industry Awards are therefore the mosts celebrated and coveted awards in the pet industry calendar and Burgess Pet Care, a Yorkshire based family business of pet owners and lovers were absolutely delighted to be awarded the top honour of 'Supplier of the Year'.

Are you the next Wetnose Burgess Rescue Awards winner?

Animal rescue centres nationwide are being called upon to nominate themselves for the Wetnose Burgess Rescue Awards 2011.
Founded by not-for-profit organisation Wetnose Animal Aid, the annual Wetnose Awards, now in their second year, recognise the valuable and tireless work of small, independent rescue centres that help animals in the UK and overseas.
The awards seek to raise awareness of the fantastic job centres do in rescuing, caring for and rehoming abandoned animals, whilst highlighting the passionate, often emotional, hardworking individuals ‘behind the scenes’ who selflessly devote their time and even their life’s work to helping animals in need.
Headline sponsor Burgess Pet Care, one of the UK’s leading producers of high quality pet foods, is encouraging rescue centres across the country to give themselves a well-deserved pat on the back by nominating themselves for the Wetnose Burgess Rescue Awards 2011.

Burgess Pet Care’s debut appearance at Interzoo 2010 resulted in overwhelming interest in their brands and products from around the world. Consequently the family owned Yorkshire based business is pleased to welcome two new members to their marketing team.
Brand Manager for Excel and Export Markets, Rebecca Nutland and Direct Marketing Executive Charlotte Mews will drive and deliver the highly demanding export programme, with particular focus on growing the famous Excel brand within Europe. They will also cement trade and consumer relationships through the implementation of a number of exciting Direct Marketing initiatives.
Rebecca Nutland brings a wealth of classic Brand and Category Management experience within specialist, grocery and export markets from a range of brands such as Carling, Grolsch, Coors Light, Sol and Cobra from her four years working within the drinks industry. Rebecca is looking forward to using her bi-lingual expertise to building the Burgess Export market and taking Excel, the UK’s No.1 vet recommended range of food for fibrevores to the next level, both domestically and internationally.
Charlotte Mews will be responsible for shows and events in the UK and overseas, and all trade and consumer marketing support. Charlotte brings experience specifically from the on-line retail channel and is looking forward to developing her skills and insights into consumer buying behaviour to forge excellent customer and consumer experiences through an increased focus on trade and consumer shows for Burgess Pet Care for many years to come.

Burgess Pet Care, makers of Supadog Beef Casserole, a UK first containing real beef pieces and Supatasty gravy, is teaming up with The Parks Trust Milton Keynes as the official sponsor of The Big Doggie Do 2010 event.
The Big Doggie Do 2010, now in its 4th year, is due to take place on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July 2010 at Furzton Lake, Milton Keynes from 11am to 4pm. This event will launch a dog watch scheme with the aim of encouraging responsible dog ownership, as well as encouraging frequent dog walkers to be the eyes and ears of the community. The fun day will also feature dog displays, agility workshops and competitions, including 'cutest puppy', as well as dog charity and commercial stalls to keep all dog owners, their families and their furry companions entertained.
Dogs will be wagging their tails in delight when they taste the delicious Supadog samples handed out by Burgess Pet Care over both days. Just a touch of water turns this nutritious dry food into a mouthwatering dish with Supatasty gravy, suitable for all dogs.
